“Robin and I are so honored that the people of Georgia’s 12th District have once again elected me, a small businessman from Augusta, to represent them in Washington. We are so humbled and grateful for their trust,” said Rep. Allen.
“I am very proud of the work my colleagues in Congress and I have accomplished. We’ve passed historic tax reform that spurred the type of economic growth that we haven’t seen in decades. Wages are up. More money in working families’ pockets. Unemployment is down; companies are hiring, and there are more jobs available than those looking for work. We’ve returned education decisions back to parents, teachers and officials at the local level, and passed landmark career and technical education reforms to train the next generation of workers.
We are doing the People’s work, but Congress still has work it can do for the American people. I’ll continue to work with President Trump to fix our broken immigration system, alleviate the exploding healthcare costs that Americans are facing and continue to be the 12th District’s biggest advocate, supporting U.S. Army Cyber Command and Fort Gordon, the Savannah River Site, the Port of Savannah, Plant Vogtle and our hard-working farmers. And I’m hopeful that we can restore fiscal sanity and a balanced budget in this country.
When I first ran for Congress, I had three goals: grow the economy, create jobs and reduce the size and scope of the federal government. I have kept my word and these goals will continue to guide my decision-making. Once again, the people of the 12th District have given me greatest honor of my life. I am beyond thankful to have another opportunity to serve them as their representative in Washington.”
