When I first came to Congress, one of my top priorities was to fulfill my campaign promise of not only voting to repeal Obamacare, but to actually send a repeal of this burdensome legislation to the President’s desk.

I am proud to say that with the help of my Republican colleagues in the House and Senate, I was able to keep my campaign promises and we were able to send a full dismantlement of Obamacare to the President’s desk. While the President may have vetoed this monumental legislation, it made a bold statement that his continued support of this unworkable law is on the wrong side of history. The American people need a change.

Obamacare has crippled the economy, prevented patients from being able to see their doctors, and sent premiums soaring through the roof.

A recent report has just been released stating that new Obamacare enrollees are sicker and more costly to cover than ever before. That means yet another round of skyrocketing premiums are at the ready to help cover the costs. Will the negative ramification of this legislation ever come to an end?

These unintended consequences are why I introduced H.R. 4262, the Transparency and Accountability of Failed Exchanges Act. As the implementation of Obamacare continues, more and more state exchanges are failing — with taxpayers footing the bill. Millions of dollars have already been spent in states like Oregon and Hawaii who attempted to set up state exchanges and ultimately abandoned them for the federal exchange.

My bill is a good government measure that calls for an audit to see how these funds were spent and requires states to return any equipment purchased with these funds to the federal government.

The problems with Obamacare keep coming everyday — not only from hard-working individuals like you, but on our small businesses and job creators. I refuse to stand by and do nothing at the cost of American jobs and families. The House has made Obamacare one of its top priorities, and I have cosponsored legislation to replace this with a patient-centered, sensible plan that will reduce spending and burdensome regulations.

Georgia families deserve better — I will never stop fighting for your rights in Washington.
